Our 9-Hole Golf Course Design by Tom Lehman

Here at Chambers Creek, we believe that it takes great amenities to make a great active adult community, so it’s only natural that we’d want residents of our 55+ community in Willis, TX to have access to a little bit of everything right outside their front doors. That means walking trails, pickleball and tennis courts, a resort-style pool, dog parks, dedicated areas for bocce ball and horseshoes, and so much more, all within a short walk! Even with all those great amenities, though, our community wouldn’t be complete without a golf course. When it came time to look at the lay of the land and find the right team to bring to life our brand-new 9-hole golf course design, we knew we didn’t have to look any further than the team at Lehman Design Group.

Tom Lehman Golf Courses have a history of uniquely designed golf courses all over the country, so we knew their team would be able to help us build an incredible course for all players, whether they’re avid golfers or just folks who like to get out on the green now and again.

The result? A special, 9-hole links-style golf course designed by Tom Lehman exclusively for our residents and their guests here at Chambers Creek. If you’re a golfer or just someone who’s interested in the game, Tom Lehman is certainly already a name you know. As the only golfer in history to have been honored with Player of the Year on all three PGA Tours, Tom is an Open Championship winner and a top-ranked golfer who has turned his expertise to designing some of the best courses in the country—and now he’s designing ours!

Since 1996, Lehman Design Group has designed more than two dozen golf courses, collaborations, and renovations all over the country, and we couldn’t be more excited to have the Tom Lehman team working with us here at Chambers Creek. We’re not the only ones, either. In fact, the 9-hole golf course design at Chambers Creek is already listed as one of the Top U.S. Course Openings for 2022 by LINKS Magazine. What can residents expect when this new links-style 9-hole course opens? You’ll be able to enjoy nine holes of premier golfing pleasure among rolling hills and creeks with a breathtaking, 30-mile view in some spots, plus a putting green. Don’t fancy a quick nine? There will be plenty of other fun ways to use the course, such as yoga events on the fairways, cart paths for walking and biking, and a whole lot more! Plus, there’s no clubhouse! Just hop on and play as much or as little as you like!
